"It is molded and manipulated chaos. Chaos Theory posits that behind the most complex systems there is a fundamental order whereby if one had all of the pertaining data of that system one could predict the system’s movement, such as the weather and movement of clouds. I utilize those same precepts to create a micro system of unpredictable behavior: the creation of my paintings. To me this is what makes my work so beautiful, for each creation is a fantastical ordering of chaos.” - Nielsen
